Lighting is the most inprotamt element of photography and it\'s also a creative element of composition while the shadows are key in defining the form in images. I try not to make shadows harsh and black lacking detail and density. I usually look for simple compositions and form and often shoot in diffused light and at twilight and dusk.I look forward to being the judge of the Black and White category and seeing all your fine work!
